Oomph! is a German industrial metal band that became one of the first in Germany that began to play in the Neue Deutsche Härte style. Oomph! plays in many styles of music, such as metal, industrial, alternative, electronics, gothic, which create the style of the band. The change of Oomph! style was between their first two albums Oomph! in 1992 and Sperm in 1994. The style changed in a heavier guitar drive, which is characterized by heavy metal, with no significant amount of electronics. Rammstein, Megaherz and Eisbrecher were influenced by the Oomph! playing style. For today, the band has released 12 full-length albums and is considered to be the flagship of the European industrial scene.
